What the online examination system does

DP LMS includes an online examination module used by schools for unit tests, colleges for internal assessments, and coaching institutes for mock tests. Admins or instructors create exams with sections, pull questions from subject-wise banks, set marks per question, time limits, negative marking and attempt limits, and decide when results are released.

Students take the exam from their dashboard or the mobile app. Objective questions are scored instantly; descriptive answers can be reviewed and marked by instructors. Every attempt — answers, time taken, score — is stored, so a student's progress across weekly tests is visible to the student, the instructor and (for schools) the parent.

Short quizzes also live inside course lessons, so practice is built into learning rather than bolted on.

Why paper tests and Google Forms both fall short

Paper tests take days to mark and produce no history. Google Forms can score multiple-choice questions but has no timers, question banks, negative marking, attempt limits, identity checks or integration with the student record and fees.

An examination system tied to the student record answers questions that neither can: Is this student improving? Which chapter is the whole batch weak in? Who has not attempted the weekly test? For coaching institutes, that data is the product.

Benefits

Outcomes institutes care about when teaching and operating online.

Question banks by subject

Reuse questions across exams; build new tests in minutes from existing banks.

Real exam conditions

Timers, section limits, negative marking, shuffled questions and attempt limits.

Instant objective results

Scores appear as soon as the exam is submitted, or when the institute chooses to release them.

Descriptive answers reviewed by teachers

Long-answer questions are collected online and marked by instructors.

Attempt history

Every attempt is stored with answers and time, for the student and the institute.

Works on the mobile app

Students take tests on the white-label Android app or any browser.

How DP LMS supports Online Exam Software with Instant Results

DP-LMS is organized around the real work of running an academy: users, courses, public content, finance, communication, and branding. Admins operate the full workspace. Instructors manage assigned courses, students, and live classes. Learners access a branded storefront and enrolled content.

  1. Step 1

    Create your workspace and branding

Set logo, favicon, colours (with live preview), footer, and about page so the academy looks like your institute before the first enrollment.

  2. Step 2

    Add admins, instructors, and students

Create accounts by role with login credentials. Admins can block or delete users; instructors can create students for their courses without OTP friction.

  3. Step 3

    Publish courses and categories

Add courses, assign instructors, organize categories, and control availability. Instructors build chapters and lessons on assigned courses.

  4. Step 4

    Run live classes and quizzes

Schedule live sessions with date, time, and join links. Review quiz attempts and scores to see how learners are progressing.

  5. Step 5

Collect fees and keep a ledger

Track payments by student and course. Use QR/manual payment flows when you need bank or wallet transfers with admin verification.

  6. Step 6

    Operate the public academy site

Publish blogs, events, testimonials, gallery, carousel, FAQs, bookings, and popups without waiting on a developer for every update.

Why institutes use DP LMS for online exams

Standalone exam tools charge per test or per student and know nothing about your courses, batches or fees. DP LMS exams are part of the same platform as teaching, attendance and payments, so results feed progress cards and parent updates without exports. Content can be written in Nepali or English, and the module is used daily by Loksewa and entrance institutes that run tests for hundreds of students at once.

Running a weekly mock-test series

Build subject question banks once. Each week, assemble a full-length test from the banks with a fixed duration and negative marking, schedule it for Saturday morning, and release results at noon. Students see scores and attempt history on the app; the institute publishes toppers as a notice. Over a season, the banks grow and test preparation time drops to minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support negative marking and time limits?

Yes — per question marks, negative marks, section timers and overall duration.

Can we prevent cheating?

Exams can shuffle questions, restrict attempts, run inside a time window, and release results only after it closes. Content-protection measures limit copying on the player.

Can questions be in Nepali?

Yes. Questions, options and explanations support Nepali and English text.

Can teachers mark descriptive answers?

Yes. Descriptive submissions are listed for instructor review and marking.

Do students need the app?

No. Exams work in any modern browser; the Android app is optional.

Is the exam module included in every plan?

See the pricing page for module availability by plan.
