What a student information system is
A student information system (SIS) is the master record for every student: identity and guardian details, the class or batch they belong to each year, the fees they have paid and owe, their attendance, exam results, homework, certificates and the notices they have received. Every other module in a school or college — fees, exams, attendance — is only as reliable as the SIS underneath it.
In DP LMS, the SIS is the core of the School Management System. Students are admitted once, with a unique ID, and every subsequent action — a fee receipt, an attendance mark, an exam score, a certificate — is attached to that record. Sibling links connect family accounts; disabled-student protection and an institute activity log keep the data safe and auditable.
Students and parents see their own slice of the record through the portal and the white-label Android app: attendance, results, homework, dues and notices.
