Customization
customization used to colour the feature, link with the QR, and so on
7. Customisation
Customisation is the module that allows the admin to personalise the look and feel of the academy website without requiring any coding knowledge. Through this module, the admin can update the branding, colours, footer content, about page, and connect additional plugins to extend the platform's functionality. It gives the admin full control over how the academy appears to visitors and students.
Two Features:
7.1. Workspace
Workspace is the module where the admin manages the visual identity of the site branding & logo, site colours, footer content, and the about page. Similarly, it lets the admin control how the website looks to every visitor, all from one place.
7.1.1. Branding & Logo
How it works (stepwise):
- Admin goes to Customization in Workspace inside the Branding & Logo tab.
- Admin uploads a logo image file (usually PNG/SVG for transparency).
- Admin may also set a favicon (small icon shown in browser tabs).
- The system previews the logo as it would appear in the navbar.
- Admin clicks Save, and the new logo/favicon replaces the old one across the whole site.
7.1.2. Site Colours
How it works (stepwise):
- Admin goes to Customization in Workspace inside the Site Colours tab.
- Admin either selects a preset theme (e.g., Royal Blue, Forest Green) or enters custom hex codes for Primary and Secondary colours.
- The Live Preview panel on the right updates instantly, showing how buttons and links will look.
- Admin clicks Save, applying the new colours site-wide (buttons, navbar, highlights).
7.1.3.Footer Content
How it works (stepwise):
- Admin goes to Customization in Workspace, including the Footer Content tab.
- Admin edits text fields such as company description, contact details, or copyright text.
- Admin adds or edits footer links (e.g., social media icons, quick links like "Privacy Policy" or "Contact Us").
- Admin clicks Save, and the footer updates across every page of the live site.
7.1.4. About Page
How it works (stepwise):
- Admin goes to Customization in Workspace inside the About Page tab.
- Admin edits the academy's story/description using a text editor.
- Admin may upload supporting images (e.g., team photos, campus images).
- Admin clicks Save, and the changes reflect on the public "About Us" page of the site.
7.2. Plugins
Plugins are modules that the admin adds or manages extra tools and integrations on the platform, such as payment gateways, chat support, or analytics, without changing the core system. It helps to design an LMS based on each academy's needs.
7.2.1. How it works / functions (stepwise):
- Admin goes to Customization inside Plugins.
- Admin sees a list of available plugins.
- Admin turns a plugin on or off using a toggle switch.
- Some plugins may ask for extra details (like an API key) before they work.
- Once enabled, the plugin's feature becomes active on the live site.
7.3. Advantages of Customization
- The admin can change the logo, colours, footer, and about the page without coding or a developer.
- It reduces the time and cost for the academy.
- It is used to give each academy a unique brand identity.
- It helps to make the Live Preview show changes instantly before saving, reducing mistakes.
- It makes plugins extend platform functionality (e.g., payment gateways, chat tools) without touching core system code.
- It makes the platform flexible for different academies' individual needs.
7.4. Disadvantages of Customization
- It makes changes apply to the entire live site immediately after saving.
- A wrong colour, broken logo, or poor footer/about content affects the whole site at once
- No visible undo/version history; mistakes must be manually corrected
- Incorrectly enabled plugins (e.g., missing API key) may break a feature instead of failing safely
- Can confuse end users like students until the admin identifies and fixes the issue.
